 EACPE condemns the "terrorist" explosion of "Al-Daqahleya" Security Directorate, and demands, once more, issuing a new law to counter terrorism

EACPE expresses its condemnation of the "terrorist" act that targeted "Al-Daqahleya" security directorate, which is considered a severe violation to the fundamental "right of life", which is guaranteed for all citizens as per the Egyptian constitution and all human rights documents.
The explosion took place at 1:00 AM, on Tuesday the 24th of December, 2013, in the vicinity of "Al-Daqahleya" security directorate, which lead to 14 deaths and 140 injuries, as well as the collapse of the façade of the directorate's building, and a partial collapse of the buildings surrounding it, including "Mansoura" city council, the national theatre, United Bank, and a number of police and civilian vehicles.

 EACPE: Arresting Activists is "terrorism against Opposition groups" and " Suppression of Freedoms ", and demands the immediate release of the detainees.

EACPE condemns the Arrest of peaceful activists during their demonstration on Tuesday, 26th of November in front of "Al Shura Council ", against the "Constitutional article" which permits the prosecutions of civilians in front of military courts in the new Constitution, and the "Demonstrations law" which was recently issued. EACPE demands the immediate release of the activists based on their right in peaceful demonstration and the Freedom of Expression which are guaranteed by the constitution and the ratified human Rights International declarations.

 

 


 The Egyptian Association for Community Participation Enhancement supervises the Referendum on the Constitution through 1500 observers in all 27 Egyptian governorates

EACPE announced its supervision to the Referendum on the new constitution, with the participation of 1500 observers in all 27 Egyptian governorates. EACPE will hold training courses for the observers on the legal rules and the international standards of free and fair Elections, and how to use the technological means and the social media to document and monitor any violation that take place during the electoral process.

The human rights organizations which signed this declaration express their concerns about the probability of further terrorist acts within the coming days - as these acts violate the right of life, which is guaranteed by the Egyptian Constitution and the human rights international documents- , especially in the light of the terrorist acts that "Sinai" and other Egyptian governorates are witnessing.

Back to the nineties terrorism EACPE: The assassination attempt for the minister of Interior is a "Crime of Terror", and demands the quick arrest of the criminals.
EACPE expresses its condemnation to the terror attack that targeted the minister of Interior, Major General "Mohamed Ibrahim", where a trapped car exploded on Thursday, 2013-09-05 while he was passing by with his convoy in Nasr City. The explosion resulted in 5 injuries (2 in a critical medical condition) that were transferred to the Police hospital in Nasr City, and 2 others were transferred to the Health Insurance hospital.
