 EACPE condemns the "terrorist" explosion of "Al-Daqahleya" Security Directorate, and demands, once more, issuing a new law to counter terrorism

EACPE expresses its condemnation of the "terrorist" act that targeted "Al-Daqahleya" security directorate, which is considered a severe violation to the fundamental "right of life", which is guaranteed for all citizens as per the Egyptian constitution and all human rights documents.
The explosion took place at 1:00 AM, on Tuesday the 24th of December, 2013, in the vicinity of "Al-Daqahleya" security directorate, which lead to 14 deaths and 140 injuries, as well as the collapse of the façade of the directorate's building, and a partial collapse of the buildings surrounding it, including "Mansoura" city council, the national theatre, United Bank, and a number of police and civilian vehicles.

 EACPE: Arresting Activists is "terrorism against Opposition groups" and " Suppression of Freedoms ", and demands the immediate release of the detainees.

EACPE condemns the Arrest of peaceful activists during their demonstration on Tuesday, 26th of November in front of "Al Shura Council ", against the "Constitutional article" which permits the prosecutions of civilians in front of military courts in the new Constitution, and the "Demonstrations law" which was recently issued. EACPE demands the immediate release of the activists based on their right in peaceful demonstration and the Freedom of Expression which are guaranteed by the constitution and the ratified human Rights International declarations.
